Here are some facts few people know:

• Humans are not causing a “sixth mass extinction” 

• The Amazon is not “the lungs of the world”

• Climate change is not making natural disasters worse

• Fires have declined 25% around the world since 2003

• The amount of land we use for meat — humankind’s biggest use of land — has declined by an area nearly as large as Alaska

• The build-up of wood fuel and more houses near forests, not climate change, explain why there are more, and more dangerous, fires in Australia and California

• Carbon emissions are declining in most rich nations and have been declining in Britain, Germany, and France since the mid-1970s 

• Netherlands became rich not poor while adapting to life below sea level

• We produce 25% more food than we need and food surpluses will continue to rise as the world gets hotter

• Habitat loss and the direct killing of wild animals are bigger threats to species than climate change

• Wood fuel is far worse for people and wildlife than fossil fuels

• Preventing future pandemics requires more not less “industrial” agriculture

I know that the above facts will sound like “climate denialism” to many people. But that just shows the power of climate alarmism. 

In reality, the above facts come from the best-available scientific studies, including those conducted by or accepted by the IPCC, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and other leading scientific bodies. 

Some people will, when they read this imagine that I’m some right-wing anti-environmentalist. I’m not. At 17, I lived in Nicaragua to show solidarity with the Sandinista socialist revolution. At 23 I raised money for Guatemalan women’s cooperatives. In my early 20s I lived in the semi-Amazon doing research with small farmers fighting land invasions. At 26 I helped expose poor conditions at Nike factories in Asia. 

I became an environmentalist at 16 when I threw a fundraiser for Rainforest Action Network. At 27 I helped save the last unprotected ancient redwoods in California. In my 30s I advocated renewables and successfully helped persuade the Obama administration to invest $90 billion into them. Over the last few years I helped save enough nuclear plants from being replaced by fossil fuels to prevent a sharp increase in emissions 

But until last year, I mostly avoided speaking out against the climate scare. Partly that’s because I was embarrassed. After all, I am as guilty of alarmism as any other environmentalist. For years, I referred to climate change as an “existential” threat to human civilization, and called it a “crisis.” 

But mostly I was scared. I remained quiet about the climate disinformation campaign because I was afraid of losing friends and funding. The few times I summoned the courage to defend climate science from those who misrepresent it I suffered harsh consequences. And so I mostly stood by and did next to nothing as my fellow environmentalists terrified the public....

The act gave her just three choices:

1. Take down two of the three videos the Authority had originally complained of; or

2. Pay the Authority 1000 euros plus 200 euros costs for each of the two videos (total $2640 at today’s exchange rate); or

3. Go to prison for up to 14 days in respect of each video: total up to 28 days.

It is frankly quite astonishing that a young girl can be locked up for politically incorrect views. After all, this is not China we are talking about.

Forget about the nonsense of “unlawful product placement”, which Monckton destroys anyway. Why would a State media authority even be aware of such a minor video, never mind go to the lengths of legal proceedings over such an inconsequential technicality? The very words “climate friendly” tell us all we need to know.

But it is even more concerning that, apparently, laws exist in Germany to allow this to happen.

Clearly darker forces are at work here, determined to shut down any criticism of the climate establishment.

We live instrange and worrying times.

E' un fatto noto che la Foresta Amazzonica non esisterebbe senza le sabbie del Sahara, che in un certo senso ne fanno da fertilizzante...

gli stessi climatologi che ogni anno ci ammorbano con l'estate piu calda da quando e' nato l'uomo e l'autunno piu' piovoso della storia per finire con l'inverno piu freddo, piu caldo.. piu senza neve.. piu innevato da quando abbiamo imparato a scrivere????

Certo, non succede tutti i giorni...

Ma polveri e nevicate rosse, ci son sempre state. 

I vecchi sulle Alpi dicono che quando nevica rosso devi prepararti perche' arriva la primavera. E' l'ultima nevicata.

La terra non e' un orologio perfettamente sincronizzato.. funziona, ma ogni tanto si generano casi sporadici dove raggiungi condizioni straordinarie.

Alla fine, il sudamerica e l'Africa  non sono poi cosi lontani tra loro.

sarà 'normale' come dici tu Peavey , io non ho il ricordo di una polvere simile in migrazione né di 38 gradi in Siberia ... si vede che sono strano io

manno..  i venti in quota tirano anche a 350 kmh, basta una tempesta sul deserto piu intensa del solito unita ad una zona piu fredda del solito sui poli ed hai che l'aspirapolvere  sputa sull'America invece che in Nord europa.  Succede spesso.. primavere calde e senza neve in Europa e freddo ai poli.

Di solito non ce ne accorgiamo perche' la polvere viene tirata giu dalla pioggia. (ci tocca lavare l'auto impolverata).

Se l'aria e' secca e non piove la polvere resta per aria.. e fa km.. in dieci ore fa 350 km

trovi tracce di polveri radiottive, diserbanti e microplastiche anche al centro del polonord.. come pensi che ci sia arrivato? 

Su cerchiamo di accendere il cervello.. I venti in quota son fortissimi. Sul deserto c'e' una corrente ascensionale potente... praticamente un aspirapolvere messo in moto dal sole.

La polvere galleggiaper ore, a volte settimane.. ..

e' del tutto normale..

Pana, perche' sarebbe pazzesco?

 e' del tutto normale..  

Sulle Alpi, l'ultima nevicata e' sempre rossa. La colorazione e' dovuta alla sabbia del deserto.

Durante le tempeste di sabbia nel deserto la polvere finissima si solleva e sale fino ad incontrare le correnti ascensionali (molto intense sopra al deserto) ed i forti venti in quota. Che la trasportano ovunque.

La polvere del deserto e' impalpabile e finissima. Galleggia nell'aria a lungo.
