Perché Evelyn Foschi è coautrice e secondo nome? Perché Torbjörn Hartman, intervistato, parla di "assenza di tracce"? E soprattutto, perché i Professori sono due + cinque, mentre sembrava fossero quattordici? Queste domande [che sono legittime] non possono avere risposte certe; diciamo che determinano contesti e suscitano intuizioni - ma intuizioni troppo generiche per essere esplicitate. Se un non laureato in ingegneria come Rossi crea un prodotto deve per forza essere un truffatore, senza nemmeno aspettare di verificarlo con dei test; mentre Piero Angela, un altro non laureato alla pari con Rossi che però ha decenni di esperienza nel settore, invece ha la massima stima e rispetto..... E' questo modo di fare saccente e arrogante che proprio non sopporto... posso accettarlo da un politico o al bar sport ma non da gente di scienza. Che si leggano bene il report e se hanno qualche obiezione, domanda o dubbio che facciano un bel controreport e dopo una peer review tra colleghi che lo pubblichino aspettando le risposte degli autori; altrimenti che stiano zitti o dicano di non essere nelle condizioni di esprimere un giudizio, non c'è niente di male a dirlo piuttosto che tirar fuori teiere cosmiche o baggianate simili senza aver mai testato nulla.. questo secondo me è quello che dovrebbe fare un vero uomo di scienza. Tanto per rispondere a chi sostiene che 0,3 grammi di materiale non dissiperebbero a sufficienza, e quindi il secondo [o terzo] reattore conterrebbe un'impossibilità termodinamica. Per non parlare poi della mia osservazione di ieri sui raggi gamma. Mi aspetto ovvie contestazioni basate sulla densità di potenza dei combustibili nucleari - che sono tutte risibili e campate per aria, stante che il fenomeno del contendere è sconosciuto. L'unico limite concettualmente accettabile [ovviamente grossolano e folle] è quello dell'annichilazione completa, con cui non si va lontano. Per cambiare argomento, esistono ceramiche agli idruri di litio che cedono e assorbono idrogeno. Mi sarebbe piaciuto trovarle a cella chiusa - ma la cosa è ancora agli inizi, e qualcosa non torna nelle geometrie del sistema. Se invece di un volume si trattasse di una superficie o di una curva? Un filo a spirale, in modo da fregare l'angolo solido d'irradiazione, esternamente attivato e ricoperto di due sottili layers di ceramica radiotrasparente - uno interno che cede idrogeno, l'altro fuori che sigilla tutto. Niente polverina libera, molto elegante. Funzionerebbe anche con un lamierino - schema bidimensionale. Devo queste considerazioni ai caveat di un amico, che mi ha fatto perfidamente notare come i gamma "rimpallino" in un volume.
