@Melchior Ho capito, Rothwell non vede il gorilla perché in difetto di notizie, e infatti l'America è lontana. Viceversa, noi le informazioni le abbiamo - siamo, come si dice in Paperissima, "vicini vicini". Aspetti l'auto-da-fé del Gamberale prima di dire - ma intuisco che qualsiasi cosa le suggerisca Lei farà di testa sua. @GoKatto Benvenuto! Non trattenga la penna - nessuno la rimprovererà per difetto di semplicità. Direi, anzi, che qui vale la regola contraria. Se sono "semplici" NON li vogliamo. E non li vogliamo neppure se sono "pretestuosi". A domani la vera risposta, ho dovuto improvvisarmi imbianchino - ero disposto a pagare un operaio [e il lavoro sarebbe venuto meglio] - ma ho capito con non era quello che ci si aspettava. They have to publish an independent replication to establish credibility. I cannot judge whether their claims are true, false, or mistaken. It is even remotely possible they are fraudulent, although I doubt that. The video was a helpful guide to their claims. It puts us in a better position to judge an independent evaluation. But until we see that evaluation we must reserve judgement. No one gets a free pass. Nullius in verba. If Defkalion wants people to believe them, they will publish one of their reports now held under NDA. I think it is irresponsible to accuse them of fraud, but it would also be irresponsible to endorse their claims. That will mean we have wasted our time speculating about the theoretical or practical uses of wire, and the MFMP has wasted months of effort and a ton of money. Them's the breaks. If you don't like that, do not get involved in cutting-edge scientific research. We would have to forgive Celani if it turns out to be a mistake. Fraud would infuriating and unforgivable. But they are functionally similar in many ways. I do not think many people outside of Defkalion have invested much effort or time evaluating their results, or speculating about the theoretical implications. The video was impressive, but I would have to spend several days noodling around with the system before I fully believe it. Senza dubbio - e glielo dissi anche da lontano, che concordavo sul concetto ma non nello specifico: se pecorari son gli uni, gli altri son mandriani, ma ad oggi il mio sugli altri è atto di fede (!), che ben si son guardati dal farsi rimirare con le dovute lenti (anzi!); però ogni volta che, anche di poco, osservarli di poteva, di guai ne uscirono e non piccoli, ma sempre pronta era la scusa ovvero il documento inoppugnabilmente dal tecnico firmato. Eppure l'evidenza ancora manca, talché li si sospetta di abigeato, benché ancora non si possa dire. Ora però mi dica almeno per i primi: due conti li ha ben fatti? Le pare che la cosa abbia senso alcuno? Lei lo disse già, forse per primo, che tutti gli orologi erano folli e numeri gettavano, a volte, in giro. Io le risposi poi che "a volte" dipendeva più dalla mano amica o fiduciosa, oppure avversa. Ritengo che ad oggi lei ormai sappia. Domani poi saprà dei mandriani.

C'è chi ha sbagliato mestiere, ed è vero che "nomina sunt omina". Un ottimo scrittore in meno, un fisico ganzino [come sempre, "loro" conoscono la Materia] in più. Venia per qualche imprecisione [che tutti gli amici di pecorai siano pecorai è fallacia di generalizzazione]. E sto parlando altrove.

A me risulta sul MFMP, un solo esperimento nullo e molti altri risultati positivi o incoraggianti presentati recentemente all'ICCF18. I risultati di Kitamura e Mastromatteo le sembrano nulli ? Decine di watts per grammo le sembrano pochi ? Certo modesti se confrontati a Rossi, ma di tutto rispetto! Per quanto riguarda la percentuale di rame nella lega Nichel Rame si legga uno dei claim dei brevetto di Ahern che ho citato recentemente.
